Based in our Stockholm Town Office, the job holder will be responsible for the following:
- Leading the Sweden key Sales efforts to ensure achievement of the revenue sales target in accordance with company commercial and marketing objectives.
- Supervising Sales Executives in negotiation and administration process for the Swedish market.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with Travel Agencies, Corporate clients, Business Travel, Leisure and MICE agents for the Swedish market and maximize all revenue opportunities.
- Negotiation, administration and monitoring of all incentive agreements for relevant channels in Sweden in conjunction with relevant commercial departments.
- Development and implementation of the agreed marketing and sales plans with all assigned accounts in Sweden.
- Monitoring of revenue results of clients on a monthly basis and recommending corrective actions if necessary.
- Ensuring contracted TMCs have timely access to fares and distribute those as well as other relevant EK information to their respective offices.
- Actively investigating and reporting on competitor activities.
- Developing concepts and new sales opportunities for the travel trade and MICE market in Sweden to pursue business traffic through other potential outlets, .i.e. trade mission, Chamber of Commerce, tourism boards, etc.
- Account manage all activities with major Travel Agency Chains and ensure effective communication between the Sales and Marketing department and Sales Executives.
- Building and maintaining goodwill and relationships with the Travel Agency leaders, Corporate Clients, Business Travel and Leisure Agents and MICE decision makers, Chamber of Commerce and other organizations, and attend industry functions on a regular basis to establish contacts, network and promote the interests of EK.
- Developing new business opportunities with trade partners that are not contracted yet in order to gain additional market share.
- Ensuring EK fares and tariffs are distributed effectively and adequate training is provided to the trade to ensure optimum use of the EK route system and value added products
- Overall responsible for events towards agents and corporates.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in all aspects of the Airline Sales environment, at least 3 years of which should be in a team leading/supervisory capacity.
- Ability to analyse and interpret statistical information for presentation to varying levels of audience from junior to most senior.
- Strong network within travel industry.
- Budget management experience.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and within tight timeframes/deadlines.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Reservation and Ticketing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant, outgoing personality.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff/team.
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish.
