Secret Escapes söker Regional Manager Scandinavia

We’re looking for grafters and self-starters to join the gang, who can keep up with the pace and want to make a difference. We still work in relatively small teams, so there’s no room for coasting along. We’re friendly, happy and we work hard. To intensify our international growth and increase our local presence we are looking for an
Regional Manager Scandinavia (m/f) for our Stockholm office.

The position
Secret Escapes Scandinavia started in 2013 and has experienced a strong growth since and we want to strengthen our performance to deliver the territory’s full potential. You will take direct responsibility for managing a variety of relevant local departments. In addition, you will be responsible for briefing central functions all over the Secret Escapes Group to strive for excellent results. Through guidance and leadership, you will make sure that the group goals are communicated and ‘translated’ into the right plan of action for your territory. With your cross-functional business knowledge and the understanding of the needs of each team, you will inspire your team to meet the goals, set for Secret Escapes Scandinavia.

Things you are working on
• Enable further growth and exceeding targets by setting strategies based on experience, market research, proposition testing and competitor profiling
• Ensure the availability of a market leading mix of package and hotel supply for our members
• Understanding of the Scandinavian travel market and its value chain as well marketing strategies and best practices
• Tenaciously finding and leveraging local partnerships to grow the widest possible audience
• Monitoring and evaluating the personal, team and business performance
• Leading within the senior team, taking the initiative to raise issues and proposing of possible solutions
• Target and goal setting for the achievement of the overall business goals
• Representing Secret Escapes in Scandinavian media, trade shows and events

What we expect from you
• Broad experience in the Scandinavian (ideally online) travel industry and an understanding of the competitive marketplace
• Min of 3-5 years working experience in leadership and management roles
• Ideally experience in flash sales, e-commerce or start-up business
• Understanding of working internationally with teams across country borders
• Persistency and a no-acceptance of falling at the first hurdle
• Seeking out and use of data to make informed commercial decisions and identify and explain trends
• Role modelling a problem solving, solution focused approach to ensure the team always get the job done and overcome any obstacle
• Fluent in Swedish and English
